    Who's more collaborative? OD/Optician or OD/MD?

No negativity in this thread either, please. Just looking for opinions on which two O's are most collaborative and especially why?. How the other group could become more collaborative.

    Is it OD>MD or OD>OPTICIAN?

It's not about attitudes. I'm looking for something inherent in our roles that could explain any difference.

I think it depends on the individual...not the profession.

I think it depends on the situation and the individuals. If I had to pick one I'd say OD>MD because of the medical knowledge that each assume the other would understand better than an Optician. But I have seen wonderful relationships from OD to Opticians.

I'm only speaking from my situation.

I think that opticians and ODs have better corroboration. Just from where I am...

I've been an optician of more years than I can count, I have found Od's think they know about eyeglasses because they had one course in it and Md's don't care there just eyeglasses and defer to the optician. This is a general statement but I find it true.
