What's a good way to get a nylon-suspension mounted lens out of a metal frame when there's virtually no room to jam anything between the frame/lens or cord/lens, and you feel if you pull any harder you will break your finger or the frame, and no matter how pointy you cut the edge of the nylon-thingy, it just crumples into a zig-zag?
Take a razor and cut the nylon cord where it loops through the 2 holes.
Yeah- You have to restring it but it beats flaking the lens.
If when restringing the cord is bigger than the holes get a thinner string. I keep in stock fish line spools of 20, 25, and 30lb test from the local sporting goods store. Put an elastic band around the spool to keep the string from unwinding.
O.d. lens--thumb under temporal eyerim area, index finger top of rim. Rotate upward with thumb, increasing gap at cord loop holes. Insert angle cut nylor cord inbetween holes. Insert enough to pull(doubled) outwards and down around lens.
Method one.

I do have a bic lighter in the drawer to make melty-balls on the end of the nylon suspension line when the frame calls for it, but I never fire it up othewise.
