We currently have an Inside Sales Consultant career opportunity at our Bellport, NY location. Prefer candidate to be located on site in Bellport, NY but telecommuting may be an option.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for establishing new lens purchasing relationships with new and existing Eye Care Professionals to enhance sales growth in our lens division. Performance will be judged based on a monthly goal to be set after evaluation of potential sales market. Must have optical experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organizes and sets activities using our CRM systems. Maintains a calendar of phone calls to be made to open accounts and obtain reorders.
2. Responsible for accurate data entry of lens orders by phone and data entry of orders placed from our website.
3. Responsible for gaining new accounts via territory prospecting and handling inbound inquiries from marketing efforts.
4. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of broad brands of lens products, applying that knowledge appropriately and effectively in selling situations.
5. Uses consultative selling approach with customers to drive sales and establish business partnerships.
6. Utilizes corporate tools and software applications to document, plan, monitor status and meet sales objectives within his/her assigned account list.
7. Effectively uses all marketing support and training materials to promote account growth.
8. Presents a professional image and represents the company in line with stated core values.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
 AA/AS degree preferred, or equivalent related experience in successful inside / outside sales involving persuasive interactions in optical or related field.
 Four years’ experience in optical dispensing preferred.
 Telephone sales experience
 Strong interpersonal skills i.e. flexibility, adaptability and a proven ability to work in a team environment.
 The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational skills.
 Demonstrated computer skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, & general PC navigation).
 Must be able to work confined to a desk for extended periods and is exposed to continuous noise from others in the work area.
 Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks at one time.
 Must have working knowledge of optics, lenses, coatings, and lens prescriptions.

COMPENSATION:
$17 – 20 /hr plus commissions (target earnings 55-58K /year)
