Quick question about problem with FT28

Hola, fellow Optiboarders!

First, I want to say that I learn so much from all of you optical geniuses here!

Now, to the meat of the issue. I just dispensed a pair of ft28's to a patient who has been wearing them for a long time. Simple Rx of +2.00 -.75 x95 OU w/+1.75 add.
She's experiencing a lot of distortion thru the lens...describes as 'skirt-like'. Images seem narrower at top, wider at bottom. Not much change in rx from old, same material (cr39), similar frame size and shape, fitting heights, pd, etc. etc.
I redid in a ft35 with a new OC ht. but to no avail. Never encountered this in the 10+ years I've been at it.
Please, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :cheers:

Is that throughout the lens or in any specific area?

Base curves the same?

Slight difference in BC, ~.50. She does state it's throughout the lens. She's not very good at describing what it's like. I had to grill her for 15 minutes to get something that I could use!

Reduce vertex, add panto.

Added as much panto as I could. Tough to do with her zyl frame, tho. And the frame is already glued to her head! I'm at a loss....

You said not much change, what was the old Rx? If it was less plus, try -.25 OR.

Check d.o.c. relationship to seg and prism within seg if near va issue. If distance, axis is issue IMO.

See if she likes her new frame. Some pat's. make up stuff to get-out of a poor frame selection.
