    polarized non adapt???

I have a customer who can not adapt to progressive polarize lenses. I now have ordered just regular tinted pal lenses. Hopefully she will not feel sick. She has worn regular ellipse lenses and loves them now she decided to get pal sunglasses. With these sunglasses she feels like she has no field of vision; like she is walking in a hole . They were comfort lenses. I just hope when her glasses come back from the lab she will adapt to the regular tinted pal lenses!!!

I've seen a lot of polar non-adapts. Honestly, most were because the patient wasn't educated correctly but some just (stupidly) hate them.

Without knowing more details about the Rx and two frames its not easy to suggest solutions, but I doubt that just ordering non-polarized is the answer. If the sunlens was a wrap and the regular glasses are flat. Did anyone do a compensation for the wrap? If it has any significant cylinder off 90 degrees in a wrap frame that would be the first place to look.

Order wrap around sunlenses from a lens manufacturer or lab that really knows wrap around technology. PD/prism is important in a wrap. Lens curves on the front that are different from the regular PAL need to have a special optical back surface to have similar vision. Post the script and the frame information

I would bet it is not the polorization that is the problem. You might want to try troubleshooting the fit and the wrap. Why Comfort?

I put the customer in a tinted progressive lens Physio and she stil can't adapt. She said it is better than the polarized but still feels sick putting them on her eyes burn also. The frame has a bit of wrap so what i think i might do now is find a frame that is smaller in depth and with no wrap. The current depth is 34mm and size 56-16

Use a better lens design. You also mentioned that she is in an Ellipse which is a short corridor you might want to try a short corridor lens as a sun.

I would watch base curve as well, because sometimes they have to use sunglass lenses in 8 base regardless of how much wrap the frame has. That has been my biggest issue, especially when using a "sunglass" versus an ophthalmic frame off the board. I always tell them that it will feel a bit "different" due to compensated prism in the sun lenses. I have used Outlook, Image and Unique with little problems.
