No-one has gone for 'seize the day'! Probably because it's a hard one to actually do. As is 'Live each day as if it was your last, one day you'll be right.' If you did that, there's no way you'd go to work or pay your bills. You'd end up homeless.

As for me, I'm not convinced I was ever on the receiving end of anything particularly profound, (my parents are of the 'wear clean underwear in case you get run over' variety), but I like a Chinese saying, 'This too will pass', because it refers to bad times, that they won't last forever, but also to good times, so you can prepare for the bad.

The best advice is always, "Don't do it, although it seems like a good idea now, you will totally regret it when you sober up" :)
