Very interesting and for promotion of online optical retail sales. They have a very popular site while accumulating popularity through the professional ECPs for their own propaganda towards on line sales. :finger:

    Any Comments ?

I would say he is a cross-writer and his biggest audience are the guy's and girls he is working against, and he obviously has the last laugh. You can also check out his forum.

Does this have to do with the stock market and the economy, which continues to swirl in the hopper?

The IP addresses don't match, so I don't think it is the same person. Lots of people buy domain names through Godaddy and have them blind registered through Domains By Proxy for security.

    Coupe................here it is.

Eyeoverad.com has become a very popular optical rumor mill and has been mentioned numerous times on OptiBoard discussions. They bash everything and every corporation of any rank and name. Usually they are the fastest with the latest news in the optical.
This morning I wanted to know who was behind this site as there is no address and contact mentioned on it.
So I went Network Solutions "Who is Who".
I put in the website address http://eyeoverheard.wordpress.com and the answer was that there was nothing of the description. So I deleted the word "wordpress" and came up with above answers.

It means that the same originator operates and owns Glassy Eyes which is promoting on line glasses at their famous low prices. If you follow the thread and go on their site you will find out.

I cant really see the connection here. Ira over at Glasseyeyes has no interest that I can see in Eyeoverheard. I've been all over his site(s) and see no link back.

They both have GoDaddy as a registrar, Hell, I have godaddy as a registrar on some of my websites, does that mean I'm connected with glasseyeyes?

Rumor has it that if you say "Eye Over Heard" backwards 3 times you'll wake up with glassy eyes and a big lower case "e" encased in a football tattooed on your forehead.

You freakin trader how could you, was it the too sexy commercials that realed you in? Godaddy is a front for Ira's evil doing, if you look at the two domian names they share a lot in common.

    Both have:
    1. ".com" at the end of them, seems pretty common but wait there's more.
    2. both begin with "G", now it's getting spooky right.
    3. both have a series of two letter in their domain name "ss" and "dd", they couldn't use the same letter for fear of tipping off the brightest of the opticians.
    4. Ira acts like a miser pinching every penny, reminds me of my grandfather whcih is my dad's father which is my "daddy".

Too many coincidences to let this one go, let the investigation begin.

Chris, after years of reading your Anti-Big-Optical posts, I'm honestly more than a little surprised to see you take issue with them...?

Darryl............nice to see you again. I haven't bashed the big guy's anymore in the recent past because they all did what I said years ago, they would do, and some even more.

Then I bashed the economy going bad way before it did, got laughed at right here on OptiBoard, but then the economy got worse than I ever thought.

These days I am bringing up the latest optical tsunami, the on-line opticals and its danger and the same reaction is happening again. I don't believe that sales of between 15 to 20 thousand pairs of glasses a day , and going up, should be ignored by optical retailers. Manufacturers have no worry, they will sell the lenses anyhow, one way or another.

Chris, I agree that online optical retailers pose a "clear and present danger" to eyecare professionals. And I don't necessarily think that the folks over at EyeHeardOptical would disagree with that statement.

So dumb as I am, you are saying that the girls at Eyeoverheard.com are running Glassyeyes.com incognito. That they are spouting all of the rumours and gossip about the big guys while silently, behind our backs they are running an online "eyeglasses for sale on the cheap business." I have got to tell you Chris ,that I agree with most of your opinions and support your fight aginst the online eyeglasses business (not run by legitimate professionals), but this one is wwwwaaaayyy out there.

PS: Show me how to follow their thread and go on their site so that I can see the proof for myself.

I tried to pull some information from either on whois. Glassy in MN, EOH is in AZ, although physical "offices" don't mean much nowadays. That's what the registration said.

Curious, that's all. Makes me go, hmmmmmm......but I still don't think they are related. Who knows!

I hope you won't mind a small correction: online optical retailers pose a "clear and present danger" to the general public.

    No derail, though, please.

I agree, it is probably waaaaaaay out there.... but consider how much glassyeyes.com is probably brining in in advertising revenue... I could totally imagine a shrewd optical insider being behind it all! :drop:
