    +12.00 with 7BI

    OD+12.00 sph 7BI
    OS+12.00 sph 7BI

She's currently wearing some monstrous half eyes that are knife thin temporally and 45 eye, is it possible to impress her by improving it in any way?

Any ideas on half eye frames?

Can I order them pre-manufactured by eschenbach or anyone else?

cmon now you should be jumping on mkaing that lense, thats my favorite customer because i know im about to get them for life. Check into some lenses someone on here should know what im talking about it was a i think trivex front "molecullarly combined" with a 1.67 index back and was supposed to be twice as thin a poly in high plus perscriptions. Then show your skills in the finishing department and do a nice bevel and roll it. And frame wise id look for a thicker zyl half eye with a more round shape!

Sounds like you're talking about an atLast lens...not a good option in my opinion. It is similar to a blended seg, but with a "graduated" seg going from intermediate to near. Also, not twice as thin as poly, or any other material.

    I agree with Jacqui...pray really hard! ;)

Fresnels (1mm thick) and aspheric lenticular. Not super-pretty, but what will be?

Anyone have an idea for a frame ~45 eye with a wide bridge ~22 in zyl?

I'll make the lenses myself in 1.70 If I can find a BC high enough, If not I'll resort to 1.67 and pray myself too.

I think there also was a lab upstate NY who made them really thin. Maybe Winchester?

Select a small half eye frame. Surface a glass 1.8 IR (or 1.9 if you can get it) to a 1.0 MM finished edge thickness. Lay out with OC on the 180 line and edger rimless just a tidge big. Hand bevel.

    Cripes, I'd wear it meself!

I'd go for the same, or if it needs to be plastic, you could try a 1.76 Bi-Aspheric lens in the smallest possible diameter. I've made one of those in a +9.00 and was about 3.50mm - 4.00mm thick in the middle.

Her reading PD is 57 with a +12 to induce 7BI the lenses would require an extra decentration of 6mm per eye which would make the resultant PD 45.

Unless I can find a frame with a 22 bridge and 25 eyesize we wont be achieving anything special no matter what the material.

Try to find the "Ecclectic Collection" by Oliver Goldsmith. I think you'll be surprised by how many frames from the range just might work. The range used to be viewed through the UK Goldsmith site - but now the link to the Asian distributor is missing. The Asian catalogue doesn't show the frames at all - I've seen the catalogue and there are small round glasses with 20-24 bridge sizes, eye sizes from 28 across. Pretty cool.
