Post In the spirit of Burma-Shave...

Thought it would be fun to see how many verses we can come up with. I know you folks should be good at this one; that is if you know what the Burma-Shave ads were.

Can anyone come up with something more original than that?

    You know Jo... :)

Burma Shave? This prompts one to ask when one was born :) Those intresting little signs on the side of the road with little saying always referring back to Burma Shave. I'd put that right along side of "The Running Indian" bill boards and Cepar. Goodness that brings back some memories! :)

When they started counted the 'baby boom' generation, I was number 00000000000000000001. I think Steve Machol was number 6 or 7.?
Jo, surely you're not that young are you?

Are you fellows trying to say I think old?

Yes, I am that young. I just grew up having older parents then most people my age so I sound a bit older, sometimes. ;) My father is 81 and my mother is 71. Nothing adds years onto an impressionable young one like having "Depression Era" parents while growing up. Right now, for example, I am working for the electric company because I have my computer and a light on and it is only 5:30. If I were to turn the TV on right now at the same time as the computer, I had better find a second job to pay for it all.

Considering that it never took much to qualify as working for a ultility company, I always wondered why a weekly Sunday drive was always mandatory, except for football season. Why wasn't that working for the gasoline station?
