OK so I'm sure this is a Lux product only sold at target, & anyway it doesn't look like it fits her worth a darn anyway....anyone have any suggestions on a style that might be close to this color & shape that I could possibly order?
Looks painful the bridge too wide, do her a favor and talk her out of it. The wide angle lens does not help either :shiner:
Edit: maybe I should try reading your second post :hammer:
Not sure what frame lines you can get your hands on, but looking through the collections on the web....what about the JNY207 Red 50....maybe??
It's one of their petite fit frames, but it has metal temples, doesn't look like the one she is wearing has metal temples.

Anyone wanna play guess the Rx based on looks?

Sorry to hijack your thread :D
I was thinking Clearvision OP PalmBeach in burgandy. Nice narrow bridge.
Rx is -1.00 sph & -1.50 sph so you loose the bet Braheem
I don't see the model palm beach on the clear vision site??
With those Ks and that alignment... give her time.
I was a bit overzealous :hammer:
OP bells beach
OP 807 (maybe too small)
OP moonlight?
Varmint I know you already see this. Posting this as a learning point for newbies to opticianry.
the Photo shows whats wrong with this pair of glasses. The bridge is to wide, thus gapping. The frame angles in towards the chin, and is too wide.
Final effect, child has accentuated her angular face and as a result made her nose look wider than it is.

This is why i never let a patient pick their own glasses lol well to an extent 8/10 times they go with the first frame i pull out for them, read enuff of the old optical books and the first 50 pages are on what shapes fit what faces you get good at it.
I'd put her into a very nice gold-filled P-3 or a drilled rimless. The one she has on stinks. How about a basic black geeky looking thing??
So I sent her to a private opticians office near her home & this was the frame they helped her select. comments??
Could they get any closer with the camera phone? Looks like she is looking into a Christmas bulb. Ok, what I see.....
The first frame is the chunky zyl look that she probably wants and I agree. She needs color and wants to look a little older. But it of course does not fit. The second fits but is too old of a style for her. The problem is she has a wide forehead so most tween frames aren't going to fit and most adult zyl frames will be big in the bridge. However I still think the zyl look is a hundred times better so keep looking or find a chunky metal with some color please. Puberty is bad enough without having goofy glasses (trust me, I know). :o
If you are looking for funky plastics why not try the vogue range from luxottica? some very nice colours and funky patterns, we sell loads to teenage girls.
I had a hard time too with the closeup photo, thats one of the reasons I posted the second pic for comments, its hard to get a good idea of how it actually looks as a good style on her being so close, but the pt was trying to get me a clear shot of the frame.
Any more opinions on this style for her? How about a new hairstyle?
Is this why people come in to take pictures of themselves in glasses so that they can go up the street and try and buy them in your store. It's bad enough people do this we do not need to encourage the behavior by helping to identify the frames. From the picture you get an idea of what they like then look in your selection and try to beat it. If you get them exactly what they found elsewhere, they are likely to shop you the same way some day.
Sorry for the negative comments but it irks me when someone pulls out a camera phone to show their "friends" at home. We all know what most are up to when they pull out their phone.
It might fit, but it's the wrong frame for her. Follow my suggestions above.
This patient was not "shoping" this store, the dispensery is owned by a close personal friend of mine & since they are 45+ miles from me, I called him & asked if he would mind if I sent her to select a frame.
Please don't just assume anything before deciding to hijack a thread in a different direction.

I understand this may not be the style I would have selected for her either, however I no longer have full access to any & all of the sources I used to since I no longer have a retail location. These folks are a special circumstance I'm trying to help out which has an effect on my son-in-laws new employment, and the main reason they contacted me was they need the new eyewear by next Friday & no one seemed to be able or willing to help them out in that direction.
Just guessing since both frames she showed me have a similar shape, she must be looking for that look, as much as I agree with you Jacqui, I sure don't want to be the one to try to convince a tween what style she should be wearing. I plan on helping her through this time sensitive situation and then seeing if I can offer her some multiple pair choices that would be suitable for her generation.
Ok, How about any of these

thanks kc, I like the dahlia too, but it looks like it might be a discontinued style. Maybe I'll contact CV and see what they have, I like their styles.
Really? I took it out of the online catalog.
Good luck with the child.
