    Salt pan temp

    What is the desired temperature of the salt pan, small beads?

    I actually use a hot air warmer, but if memory serves the bottom of the pan should read about 200 degrees. Basically you should be able to rest your fingers on the top of the "salt" for aprox. 5 seconds.

    Drag a Pucci zyl across the bottom of one, each time slowly bumping up the temperature. When you finally get the point that Pucci frame blisters then back it down 2 notches and you're ready to roll!

    Hot enough to keep a danish and coffee warm, but not so hot that the danish drys out.

    Starting back next week. Haven't been in a lab in YEARS! I'm trying to walk through it in my mind to prepare myself. I am probably overdoing it with the details. LOL Thanks for the humor.

    Welcome back to the lab Flower

    Try a hot air blower, you'll like it especially on zyl. Just unmount your A/R coated lenses unless its a minor temple adjustment.
