Big Smile Forget faces? remember glasses?

So the other day, while we were helping a patient. I said -

"Yeah, I tend to forget faces, but I remember the glasses. It's an occupational hazard."

To which the nurse we were helping responded -

"I know what you mean, I do mammograms, and I don't remember faces either!"

    I just about died.

Love is a duet, each voice complementing each other and making them sound better than they would alone, each voice at times stepping back and letting the other shine. We've got a pretty good duet going Tina.

On April 28th, I'll be marrying my best friend. I can't wait!

I catch myself saying "you remember, the guy with the minus sixes". I guess she says "you remember, the girl with the C-cups". :bbg:

We met on a blind date...

My wife and I are both Opticians with large extended families and we constantly put a face to a name of each others relatives by referencing their glasses- "Oh you remember Aunt Sadie- Blue 54 eye Silhouette SPX 1861".:)

As has been pointed out in another thread, these are two professions that the practitioners absolutely should have AR on their lenses.:bbg:

I'm so glad I'm not the only one!!!!

You guys have no idea how happy this makes me. When I take a pt to the checkout desk, I'll have forgotten their name by the time I get back to my desk. A week later, there's so small a chance I'll remember their name, but I'll for sure remember their glasses.

It just makes me feel better, knowing that there's others whose brains work the same way. :):):)

Same with me. I can't remember a name, but I sure remember em if you describe their glasses.

When I got my vasectomy back in 04, I returned to the doc a week later due to pain. She (the doc) didnt recognise me, so I said "maybe if I took my pants off?"

The best is when you are out and you run into a customer. Then you cannot remember their name to save your life. But you can remember that you put them into a Gant 425, 50 eye, AF Pentax Mini 1.66 lenses with AR, and they have a 2.00 Add (one actual situation)

I was a Staff Sergeant in the army at the time and the doc was a Major. She laughed at it too. People I told about it couldn't believe I still had the cojones to pull it off. (Vasectomy, remember?)
