Jbaugh: If you have a "waiting time" of eight weeks, or even four what the hell would you want to increase your patient base for? Especially if those "waiting" are full pay patients.
I'd kill for a four week waiting list, but I wouldn't take a lot of scut work to have a longer one.

The best way to make money with Davis is to take their frames and put them in a box in the back. I just tell the patient that they x allowance for frames and try to sell Transitions and AR. If you use a frame from outside of the Davis selection it is an automatic $93 reimbursement plus whatever overage you collected from the patient. The trick is to guide the patient to the frames that you would like them to purchase.... It takes a little effort, but any good Optician should be able to incorporate this insurance into their dispensary successfully.
But you and your patient are SOL when the Davis lab mysteriously loses you or the patient's frame. And they will lose your frame. They lost 3 of our frames in less than a month. Davis shows no responsibility for any frame thats not from their classy Exclusive rack.

Let the contract expire. Offer several less lucrative contracts. Say your focusing more on Quality than Quantity. Yeah, right! Try to scare people into accepting their less than lucrative offer. Then after months of "negotiating" declare impasse. Force workers to take on a larger workload for considerably less pay.
