    SharpVA acuity system glare

Our office just bought the SharpVa acuity system and there seems to be a lot of glare when doing refractions.... has anyone else had this problem and how was it corrected?

Blue Jumper Room lights or Glossy Monitor most likely...

I use the Sharp VA digital visual acuity software in a total of 11 exam lanes. I have not had a single problem; I absolutely love the software. Sharp VA has also been extremely easy to work with.

Due to increasing demands for computer based media (video games, movies, etc), some new monitors come with a high gloss finish. Perhaps this is the cause of your glare (?).

Obviously, glare is not a result of the software you are using, but your monitor setup &/or room lighting. Interesting question you asked…as if Microsoft Word creates more glare than Internet Explorer! Try a different monitor or adjusting your room lights. Good luck!
