    Carrying a concealed weapon?

Here is a link to a Dude on YouTube that I subscribe to.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ei8OK4WdoW0

I don't really care to hear whether you think it is a good idea, a terrible idea or whatever. I really don't care what you think. PERIOD. I really don't!

I am posting this as a point of interest for those that do carry a firearm, who want to, or those that want to learn more about it. I hope others can learn and take something from this video, and others that he has posted. I have learned a lot, and continue to do so. I thank him for his hard work, dedication, and professional and respectful presentation.

For Mother's Day, I gave the lovely Mrs. Johns a Colt 45 revolver.
For Christmas, I gave her a concealed carry class.
That colt won't fit in her boot too well, so I'm looking for a "graduation" present for her now.

The lovely Mrs. Baker has a Kimber Ultra Carry II in .45 ACP and she loves it.

I took the class last year, but haven't yet got anything I'm comfortable carrying. The smallest thing we have is a Glock 45. Next week, I'll be trying out my boss' Ruger (sorry, can't remember the model!), and that may be what we get with our tax refund. I wanted to take the class and get my license while I still could, anyway.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

I guess we need that "fixed" income Mr. Baker refers to.;)

Very good video :) He did bring up some very interesting points about where to carry and where not to.

Frostbite Falls is so safe that I don't really have a need to have a concealed weapon, about the only criminals we have here are watermelon thieves. I do however open carry either a Ruger Blackhawk 357 or a Colt Python both loaded with shot because of the rattlesnakes (there's a huge number of them here:( ). I should get a concealed permit, but I've never felt a need to use it, only to have it.

He does make some very good points. He has several other videos concerning obligation of carrying a weapon, sheepdog mentality, Rule of Law/Without rule of Law, etc.

He is a bit long winded at times, but generally does a fine job. His gear reviews are well done as well. I have bought a few knives and multi-tools based off of his recommendations and reviews.

That was just the start. She needed a couple of new "outfits" to match the color of the grips and it went on from there. You know how it goes. I just keep telling meself that life is a whole lot easier when I say "yes, dear."

I just hope that she doesn't find out the cost of the Purdy that I have my eye on, Fair is fair, right?

Just curious, personal protection? worried about the coming "civil war"? or thinking there is revolution afoot ?
just wondering what the motivation is.
I have been contemplating a fire arm for my home( just moved to a small hoby farm out in the boonies and get the willys occasionally) should I also be thinking about carrying one around at all times?

    Civil and moral obligation.

Do yourself a favor and watch the videos. Educate yourself. Ask questions, be informed, be aware, be prepared!

    Another tidbit.

Have her try out a Walther PPS for size-- I love the "ultra-slimness' for concealed carry!
