I just don't see why anyone would want to watch cars go round and round in a circle...
To be honest, I have to admit I don't quite get it, either! I can't watch a whole race without falling asleep (then again, I don't have to- because I'll hear all about it from my father, brothers, etc. throughout the week).

Here's some other things I don't understand in the world of sports...
1.) How anyone could actually attend a golf tournament (ditto for bowling tournaments)?!?
2.) Why a first down doesn't stop the clock in NFL football (it would make for much more dramatic endings)?
3.) Why isn't bobsledding on all the time? What a cool sport!
3.) Why would anyone want to attend a soccer game in Europe (I mean, aren't there a couple dozen fans stomped to death every game)?
    ;)

You simply can't beat NCAA Football on a Saturday afternoon, or MLB on the radio while you are changing the oil in the car on a hot summer day! Ah, that's livin'!

    Because they don't have NASCAR.

Well, I suppose they couldn't afford the GAS for a NASCAR event in Europe! (Besides, all the stock cars would be these tiny little things...)

I went to two major soccer games in Yorkshire(John R's country)
    The atmosphere was just electric.

(p.s. John and all you brits out there, it is Soccer not Football

The patriots Tom Brady have just found out he has Irish roots,

On this subject, our village is all over the National News today for proving that Muhammed Ali' grand father came from our county's capital town:)
