Confused Question on safety lens material?

Our lab does not have a coating machine, so I am unable to process polycarb lenses when generating Safety glasses, is there a suitable sub-material that can be used???

Spectralite or another mid index lens?

plastic at 3.0 is ansi Z87.1, only poly and trivex can achieve the Z87.2 impact resistance

No plastic needs to be coated in any way. Trivex will take a spin coating or even a dip-it style.

I won't say hard coat. Scratch resistant will be more appropriate. For what I know (But I may be wrong) this is a product who just make the lenses more slippery. But not really harder.
I use steel wool (0000) to test my hard coat and it don't scratch :D. I test this product once with steel wool and lthe lens looked like :shiner:.

But that was long ago and maybe the product is better now.
