Rēal Salt Lake brings home the MLS cup! *WOOT*

Wow - just WOW! An amazing four years for our lowly soccer team. Started out one of the worst in the league, and now bringing home the cup! (For those that don't know, this is American soccer's equivalent to the super bowl or world series).

Way to go Beckerman, Rimando and team! Send ol David Beckham packing of back home to England! hehe What an AMAZING game as well - both teams playing with fire and drive. Tied at the end of regulation, into overtime, and still tied decided with penalty kicks. An absolute nail biter from the first minute to the last!

Will be down at the stadium tonight if possible to welcome the cup home!

Blame the Spaniards for the name - we were branded after Real Madrid. In Spanish "Real" means "Royal" or "Regal". It's pronounced almost closer to RAY-ahl.

Still a wicked good game, and we now have a national team (that hopefully remains) a force for seasons to come!
