    Need Input

Hey everybody, I was wondering how many of you charge for drill mounting and groove rimless. Currently my company charges these fees separately but i would like to add them into the price of the frame. How does everyone handle this?

We don't charge anything for grooved rimless. Drill mounts are the only style of mount we charge extra for. Considering that, I think it's better to list it as an add on.

If it's a frame I'm going to edge myself, I'll leave off the groove fee. The lab charges us if I send the job to them, so I need to charge the patient. If it's a POF, we have an edging fee, but I'll do one or the other but not both. The same for drill mounts. If they're purchasing a new frame, most of the time I don't charge the drill fee, but for POF I always do. We don't drill in-house, so I get a drill fee each time.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Wave If they buy the frame . . . .

we don't charge for the drill. If they are using their own frame then we do charge for the drill.

We add the initial drill charge into the frame, anytime thereafter or any POF we charge for the drill mount...since we get charged too.
