    brand question

What chains carry Via Spiga and Jill Stuart? I have a patient asking me if I can order a couple frames and am curious who carries those. From the information I gathered, it looks like she's shopping. That's cool, I just want to know what I'm up against.

jill stuart I have in my package frames and lenses. Walman optical supplys the frame for me and I purchase the frames for display on my board directly through Walman's account manager. I am not sure who acctually manufactures them but maybe you could call Walman and find out. Hope this helps.

I used to carry Via Spiga when I lived in Wisconsin. Zyloware was the manufacturer, and we could order the frames directly from them, or as a lab supply. As far as chain opticals that sell them, I have no idea. If you're hoping to just keep the patient from buying them elsewhere, you may ask the lab where you get your lenses if you can order from them. Find out how much your price would be to see if you can compete with wherever she's shopping.

Just a suggestion. Hope it helps!!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Yup, as of this summer. That's my assumption, anyway, since my Lux brand carries only Lux product and we started carrying both those lines within the past six months or so.

Jill Stuart is from Eyewear Designs and we get them from a small mom and pop distributor that we have been dealing with for years, Romida Optical, in Palm Springs.

You can also purchase Jill Stuart frames from Interstate Optical in Mansfield, Ohio.

Jill Stuart is eyewear designs not lux. I stopped carrying them when they showed up on the Davis tower.

Jill Stuart is not a Lux brand. I too work for LC and while 99% of our product are Lux brands not all of them are. Corporate purchases what they call "Special Buys" which are a 1 time purchase of a line. As an example we currently have Vera Wang, a few years ago we had Ungaro etc. I take it your region got Jill Stuart.

So not everything at LC is a Lux brand. In fact the LC store I am at now used to carry Kenneth Cole, Pro Design, Cazal, and a ton of non-Lux product.

I'm not LC, but another Lux brand. Over the past year or so the company has discontinued anything we carry that isn't either entirely owned by or has a license agreement with Lux. So, if Via Spiga and Jill Stuart are not licensed by Lux, then they'd be the only two brands we have that are not.

Be informed, Jill Stuart and Via Spiga can be found at ForEyes. They may be discontinued stuff, but still the brands have been cheapened.

    Imagewear (Walman Optical).

Ordered Via Spiga through them about 3 months ago, but have not ever ordered the Jill's.

    Hope this helps.
