    LaFont, IC Berlin, Morel...

We are looking to bring in a higher end, unique line. So far we are expecting visits and info from morel, lafont, and ic berlin. Is there any others you would reccomend.

And, if you currently carry any of these brands, how well are they working for you, how is the service, any downsides?

also almost considering Chrome Hearts, but they probably wont give us the variety or unique colors/style/whatever some of the others will.

We love Lafont! We can barely keep them in stock! Ic Berlin was too boorish for what we have here, my patients like colors and unique shapes. Have you considered Lindberg? They are GORGEOUS!

My only words of advice would be to make sure that you carry a good amount of the line, not just ten or twelve pieces. You'll find by having many they will sell frequently and show better.

    Good luck to you!

we did great with Lafont until the rep stopped showing up and frames became stale. Any exchanges were on a 3:1 i believe.

Is it just me, or is Lafont quality..."questionable"? The styles are impeccable, though.

Morel's quality is not questionable--it's quite good. But the styles? A tough sell in my experience. They are unique.

    Chrome Hearts = Pornography, right?

We sell a lot of Morel; Koali, Lightec, and Oga. Our patients love them and they don't mind paying. The rep is good about changing out frames. The Koali frames are for women and have a lot of detail. The Lightec, which I wear, are light, and there is a good variety of styles and colors. Men and women both like the Oga, though they are geared more toward men.

Those are the ones that caught my eye the most, both for styles i personally like, but also more geared towards what i think will do well here.

Intricate detailing, colorful, different frame front styles while keeping similar temple and overall designs (if that makes sense)

I also carry Lightec and Oga and they do fairly well here. The other brand I wanted to throw into the mix is BBH. I started carrying their Humphreys line which is very unique and colorful, however most of the styles will fit a smaller face better. The other line I like from BBH is Brendel. Very colorful, light weight, and edgy. They also have a higher end line that I do not carry not sure of the name. All frames are manufactured with German machinery so I have been told. I have had no issues with quality and for the most part easier to adust than the Oga and Koali frames.

    Luxury Lines

Marcolin is launching the new Hogan and Todd lines, definitely high end winners.

    I had the same impression.

We can't keep Morel in stock, but since the rep in our area is no longer with them (one of the best in the business), I haven't heard from them.

We had the same problem a few years ago when the rep actually died. After awhile of not hearing from anyone, I called and another rep was happy to get our business. Our reps have to drive 4-6 hours to get to us, so the ones that keep coming are appreciated.

Actually Morel is the ONLY rep we see from any company, and that was because he was a good rep from another line. I stopped by the Morel booth at VEW, and they looked at me like I was interrupting their party, so I shook the dust off my feet and walked on.
