    Question Virus Detection

I have Norton Anti Virus at all me 3 work stations. Still, some
(Not all) people, say, I have viruses. One painfully even accused me of sending!) How can this happen?
Regardless of the Antivirus, how can I trace them? Is it possible that they are not in my system but on the server itself, and simply ride over ouit going mails when ever they like .

Make sure your virus definitions are kept up-to-date. After you've downloaded the latest defs, have NAV run a complete scan on your system.

Sandeep, Please dont take this the wrong way, but i also recived a mail with a virus from you a while ago. It way one of the ones that work on your address book in outlook / express. I just deleted it as at the time i was getting about 3 or 4 a day. Even with the best virus system you can sometimes catch one, or worse still someone else useing the system could have done it opening on of these infected mails.
I run a system scan on my system every night while in bed. Believe me its not a crime to send them out, i have recived loads from people who should know better. But when other people have access to your system you lose your best defence.... Yourself..

    Sandee:

In it's current incarnation, my guru has my office computer set up where: a) it checks all incoming mail for viruses. b) I updates itself every few nights. c) It checks all outgoing mail for virus(s) before sending. I use Norton anti-virus. And no, I don't know how to do all this, I just have a few friends who are professional experts on this, I keep them and thier families in glasses and contact lenses and they do any computer work I need.
