RE: progressive lens identifier not on TheLensGuru?

I had a patient today wearing a progressive lens that I could not identify the lens. It was not on thelensguru.com

The lens had a circles for the marker with the add below the temporal mark and a single letter "P" below the nasal circle. Any ideas?

The P under the nasal 180 typically indicates poly, but is usually accompanied with some other letter or symbol to identify the design. The only one I could find that doesn't is the Indo Amply.

    Question P marker

Could it be AO Pro from the American Optical Lens Company?

That was the lens I thought it was, but the marking did not quite match up either.

    Thanks!

The problem is we are working under the assumption that it is still a current lens. I can't remember what the lens is and who the patient was, but about a month ago I had a patient who I was waiting on, who hadn't been in our office in 10 years. If the patient hadn't been wearing the same lens design that we had fit them with 10 years ago. All I remember is the original company was bought out by Vision-Ease, who then discontinued the lens and I was able to confirm the lens design by doing a web search for whatever the lens name that we had in our record was, and I found an old page that someone had scanned in the 2002 progressive lens identifier book that had the etchings I was looking for. And since they no longer list discontinued lenses in the back of the books, probably because they don't want their book to be the length of Framedata's quarterly edition catalogue, it may be impossible to find lens you are looking for, unless you or someone else had a really old edition of the progressive lens identifier book that has the right page.

I believe that's an Indo Amply Proximity, Superfin material. It's a 4-up, 18-min fit ht lens.
