    This should REALLY help!

    Check this out:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091013/...imum_wage_drop

For those of you that don't want to follow the link, it says that Colorado is lowering the minimum wage by $.03 per hour!!!

They're doing it because the cost of living has gone DOWN. Guess they're not buying the talk or the inflation coming down the road.

$.03...that's $60 per year, or $.24 in an 8 hour day.

Just who is this supposed to help? The employer? Yeah right... It probably cost them more to change the rate in government expenses than any savings anyone will realize.

Do they think the cost of living will continue to go down? Will they turn around and raise it when it starts rising again? Except for fuel costs, and my COG, I know I'm paying more for groceries, taxes (local and otherwise), and many other items than I was last year.

    I don't get this...

Can you imagine how much these idiots spent on this?

That could pay for a whole lot of cat food for some old lady.

Complaints when the minimum wage is increased, and complaints when the minimum wage is decreased. You just can't win!

Maybe Congress should just sell sponsorships to all the bills. Like the CE e get is "Sponsored by Transitions" or "Thanks to Luxottica for supporting this training". Now that is proper disclosure.

Each new bill should be introduced with it's sponsor. That way they get the exposure that they deserve.

"Bill XXX, proposes to sell the Air Force new heavy airlift that they didn't request and don't want. Thanks to Boeing for sponsoring this bill!"

I'll bid on naming rights for the Capitol Building. "Congress will debate the bill in the Spexvet Capitol Building" - has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?
