I'm thinking seriously of upgrading to a smartphone and am wondering what everyone's favorite apps (or "type" of apps) you like/use.
Thanks

We put a charcoal/HEPA air filter up on a new shelf today. I put it up, then he checked it with his new iPhone that had a bubble level app on it, and I was only 0.8 degrees off level.

You people actually pay $100 plus per month for these things?

No cell phone now for 3 years. Love the disconnected feeling of NOT having a phone. I think the whole cell phone business nowadays is a joke. I understand the benefits of having one for emergencies and all, but life seems to go a little slower without it for me. I also cant stand the patients that CANNOT get off the thing when they are in the office.
We gave up our land line a few months ago. Strider has his cell (which does have internet and email, etc), and I've got mine. No more of "will you answer that?" or, "who is it; I'm not here right now." It was silly to still have a home phone when we've each had cell phones for ever now. Yes, I am reachable at all times now, but Strider is the only one who ever calls me, anyway.
My phone isn't fancy (at all), but I've started using it as my alarm clock. A few weeks ago, I started turning off my real clock in my sleep, and that was getting dangerous. This way, I can change the ring to something I'm not expecting and it'll wake me up for sure.
