    Coating Polycarb lenses

Is there a lens hard coat for poly that can be washed off the lens before curing it. Occasionally there will be a defect on the backside, and I would like to try coating again, but you cant wash this stuff off like you can with 1.60 or 1.67 lens materials. Its reacting with the poly or something in a way that doesn't allow you a "do-over". Also sometimes the lens will look perfect, then you put the backside coating on, and now you can see all these surfacing marks(swirls etc.) Why is poly a pain in the butt?

I've always dropped it in the washer again, worked everytime.

However, I would be careful with a ultra-optics washer as running it too many times will cause circlular indentations in the lens from the force of the wash.
