inventory of mens vs. womens frames

    hello,
We just remodled our optical YEAH! MY question is what percentage of womens frames do you carry compared to mens frames? We have about twice the amount of womens frames to mens frames. I am trying to decide if I want to add another dispaly of mens frames.

We have a 60/40 mix probably. Once in a while a man will ask me why there are more women's frames and (I would think it would be a no-brainer) I tell them that women's frames have greater design options as well as colors just like in any retail clothing store.

Just look at women shop for 2 items in a Super Market with thousands of items, they can spend an hour between the isles, while a man will purchase the 2 items in 5 minutes and be out of the store.
Different mentality you have to cater to, and have more choice for them.

I'd agree with the 60%/40% for women/men. Do you have seperate sections for men vs women? I'm curious as to what most people think about this. I've recently started managing our boards here. We have completely seperate mens and womens' sections and I'm not sure if I like it.

I prefer to keep them separate, yes there are unisex frames on both boards but it keeps it easier rather then people looking through 700 frames they just look at their section.
