Optical software program??

We are considering a new software program in our office and I am looking for some suggestions from you fine folks. The program will need to be point of sale friendly, inventory and accounting are also important.
Currently we are using EZ-frame from Luxottica(evil), I am not impressed. The program has glitches, like figuring tax wrong, dicounting a sale is like figuring the trajectory for a shuttle launch,
and more.
Any ideas?

We just converted our office over to a new system. This is the second system we have installed in the last 6 months. The first one was expensive, and worked great when it was demo'd, but after we installed it, it kept tanking on us. This new system is a much, much. less expensive, easy to use, and there is no charge for support, although we haven't had a need for support anyway. I thought we would have to spend thousand of $$ to get a system like this, but it wasn't bad at all. It was written by an OD that uses it everyday in his own practice, and he stands behind it 100%

No, I don't sell it or get a commission on it, I just know how many systems I demo'd, how many empty promises were made, and how frustrating it all gets after awhile.

It is very basic, but does more than we need, without getting hung up with all kinds of bells and whistles.

It's called Eyebase, and they're out of Pa. I found them on the net.

We also demo'd the 20/20 system that KJW sells, and that looked quite good as well. Although we didn't go w/ that system (it wasn't ready yet) I liked the fact that it could be readily customized, and can also handle on-line contact lens sales. I think the price was less than EasyFrame also.
