    Twins

Any other optiboarders out there a twin? I have a twin sister. We look nothing alike. (Her beard is thicker;) )
No great phscic twin stories either. One time I thought I sensed her finger being cut off so I called. I woke her up. But she had no idea what I was talking about.

    Night Train,
I'm not a twin but my father is a identical twin........born about a minute or so before his brother. Are you a paternal or a identical twin? I only ask this question because you said that you and your sister look nothing alike. To this day my father and his brother are almost mirror images of each other.........unless one of them decides to grow a beard :D,or something of that nature.

Twins of opposite sex are always fraternal. Reason: the X or Y chromosone thing. In that fraternal twins come from two eggs, two sperms, they may be either sex. Identical twins are just that, genetically identical because one egg, fertilized by one sperm somehow divided in the zygote stage.

Sorry I haven't been around for many weeks, back problems....doctors....injections....
chiropractors etc... anyway I can now stand at the computer, sitting's still a problem but that's not why I'm writing, it's TWINS.

I just had to look at this thread, we are all very excited as my son, or I should say, his wife, is expecting twins any day now.

No history in either family and the interesting thing is that nobody knows the sex of the babies, they want a surprise.

So, identical, non identical.... we'll know in a day or so

Congrats from me too!!! Not a twin myself though. They did tell my mom when she was expecting me that they heard two heart beats (probably mine and hers!!) anyway I think she was disappointed it was just little ole me. Of course then they told dad he had a son to even further the disappointment. I guess it is a good thing they came up with the ultra sound to confirm these things.
