My thoughts as a new Rep .....

I sold my shop in three weeks ( Unbelieveable eh? )

I then became a BC rep for the following:

- You`s Eyeworks : A funky, colourful line from Holland that ROCKS!!!! I saw this line at Vision East last year and it put an instant smile on my face. :bbg:

- Modinno Enterprises - An ophthalmic line of ReadyReaders . Polarized bifocal suns, Etc.

- OMS - ( Yes, owned by our very own Chris Ryser ) Chemical supplies for labs.

I finding it all pretty odd having so much freedom and no need to punch a clock anymore. But I`m lovin` it!! This job is NOT easy, and being organized is everything.

After 33 years as an optician, this whole experience is very refreshing. I think eveyone needs a change now and again to stay on top of their game. SO just don`t THINK IT.........Do IT!!!

My last shop was in Coquitlam Centre, Before that I had a dispensary in North Vancouver.

After 33 years working with the public, it was time for a change . It REALLY wasn`t fun anymore.

In wholesale, at least I get to talk to opticians ( which generally is quite interesting) and its the one area of our industry that still has lots of job openings.

It was Ocean Optical......... 1529 Lonsdale.

I sold to an employee, and then the shop burnt down a year later.

I almost cried. I put my heart and soul into that place.

There`s a TIM HORTONS there now.
