Not the quality of care, but how healthcare is paid for - for ALL Americans.

Not the quality of care, but how healthcare is paid for - for ALL Americans.
...Just ask me...
Yes I am really really happy with our current system!! But hold on tight cause it's all about to change change change...Seems like I've heard that rant before. Gary
We are not efficiently utilizing healthcare resources currently in the US. Costs are rising much faster than the CPI and the system is seen by most as the cause, according to many sources. There is continuing debate on how to change the payment and funding of health care, but almost all experts agree that it needs significant change. As to quality, we currently rank in the mid-twenties of the developed nations in overall healthcare quality but spend the most on our care by far, accoding to WHO. While I feel strongly we have the best technology in the world, it has not translated to improving healthcare rankings. Here are some additional stats for you:
1. We are 26th in infant mortality rates among the developed nations
2. We are 24th on disability-adjusted life expectancy
3. We are ranked as the least fair in financing of all developed nations, meaning the poor and uninsured do not receive adequate care.
We do rank first in responsiveness, meaning our providers and health care organizations react favorably to patients as it relates to respect and other non-medical areas.
Keep in mind there are only 2 developed nations in the world without some kind og universal coverage (what our far-ight is attempting to call socialized medicine). Those countries are the US and South Africa.
When providing your opinion, think about these issues, and despite your political views, just give them some consideration.
These data sets can be found on the WHO site and I encourage you to check them for yourself.
I voted no, There are too few paying (taxes) and to many recieving benefits (medicaid)
