Help need for Axcell Briot

Dear Guys ,
recently my Briot Axcell, cannot read the edge shape with the camera.
I tried the following ::hammer:

*) tried to read several edge type and to paint very very well the border and main line axis

*) tried to increase led illumination from 10 to 15

*) tried to clean the translucent pad

*) tried to clean the camera lens

the result is the same . After about 5 sec. the axcell read a circle insted of a the shape of the edge.


Please I need help !!

Hi!

I use a black sharpie permanent marker to mark on the edge of the lens...I ususally have to make about a 4mm wide mark on the front edge, then color around the side of the lens edge and also the back of the lens as well.

when you snap the picture, the image probably comes up with a warning that says lens edge not found (or something similar)...when you see that, take a quick look at the image that is on the screen, you may see an area on the lens edge that isn't marked as well as the rest of the lens. Just take the lens out, mark it again in that area and try the picture again...

sometimes it takes me several tries to get the image to take.

PS..make sure you mark the lens axis first (I usually add some of that permanent marker to the dots, as well...don't want them to rub off before you get the picutre!) :o)
