Question Not sure where else to post this...

I wasn't sure if there was a better forum to post this but I figured this one would be just as good as any other. I already looked in the Optical Marketplace forum, but maybe I missed the listing. I'm looking for a handstone/manual edging wheel. I can't seem to find them anywhere. I know they run upwards around $450 new, but I'm not looking to spend that if I can help it. If anyone knows where I can find one for less than $400 please let me know. Much appreciated!

Yeah, there's some new ones going for around $250 that have a dual-grit wheel with a bevel groove.

Beware of *cheap* diamond hand stones. They usually are plated wheels, meaning there is just a thin layer of diamonds on the wheel's surface. These wear out and rust in very short order.

On the other hand you can get a bonded wheel, the diamonds are impregnated through the surface. As diamonds *sluff* off, new diamonds are exposed underneath. These wheels last way, way longer and tend not to rust.
