July 1, 1989. The best thing that ever happened to me!

July 1, our 20th Wedding Anniversary!

    I can't believe it's been that long, and I can't believe I'm (she's not;)) getting that old.

We had talked about going to Paris, but I talked her into the 2 for 1 lunch special at the local Mexican restaurant instead.:o

Congrats buddy!!! Still can't figure out how you found a woman to put up with you for that long. She must some how be related to my wife, who has been stuck with me for 32 years.

I hope the two of you have a great anniversary!!!

    Congrats...

Today, being married to the same person for 20 years is an accomplishment. However, your opening comment is the one that got me. ;) All the best to both of you.

Wow congrats I wish you 2 the best. If you've been married for 20yrs and you got married at 18 lets say that would make you 38, right. ;)

The years go by pretty darn quick, don't they (just celebrated our 22nd on 3 July)?

Our 14 year old son went away for a 6 week stay with my brother (to see what "real work" is like working for his construction company). Anyway, the house has been a lot quieter and I couldn't help thinking "One day soon, he'll be moving out for good..."

Then our 13 year old went to a friend's house for a couple days at the same time, and the house got REALLY quiet. Deb looked at me and said "Well, it's just you and me- so what should we do now?" I guess its a sign we're getting old, because we decided to just watch HGTV. ;)

Congratulations, and hope the Mexican food was delicious!

Wow! We just experienced that today!

Last night, we took our 12 year old son to 4-H camp to stay for the week. This morning, my wife and I loaded up the bikes, went out for breakfast, and drove out to Presque Isle, Pa. for a great day in the sun.

On the way home, the whole conversation was..."Remember when we stopped there w/ him to change his diaper....remember when we took him to that amusement park...isn't that the place we stayed where you put his socks on your ears and he laughed so hard he threw up...remember when we stopped at that farm and he kept telling the farmer "truck, truck" but he couldn't pronounce it and it kept sounding like a bad word..." and so on.

We've only got one, and he's only gone for the week, but yeah, they grow and go way to fast.

It was my wife's idea to go for the bike ride, and I think she did it just to see how it'll be in a few years when he moves out.
