Blue Jumper autograph II single vision?

    what makes this special?

what advantage does it provide over a standard single vision lens, say, in a 1.60 material?

I ordered it for my receptionist and she says that the vision is really clear but in one point in the lens there is a jump where it makes things look closer (slightly lower in the lens... say where you would find the intermediate in a progressive). It doesn't progressively get closer, it just jumps in one small area in the lens and then goes back to the regular focal distance.

Anyone have a lot of experience with these?

    Thanks

I'll bet the design pole (the mid-point between the engravings) was not placed on PD and in front of the pupil, i.e. "0" below.

Auto II shines best in the following circumstances:

    1. Cyl powers greater than 0.50D
    2. Situtaions where previous lenses departed from Best form design and/or fitting placement
    3. All of the above.

    FWIW

are you talking about vertical decentration? if the aperture (center of the aspheric design) isn't vertically decentered that could explain it. it could also be a wave.
