    Responding to strangers

I have noticed through the years (and twice recently) a tendency of certain Optiboarders to react rather strongly to the occasional customer who happen across this thread seeking professional advice. As an outsider myself, I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. You may want to consider having an administrator post some standardized text that politely informs the person of their error. The responses I have seen could give the public a bad stereotype of eye care professionals.

The good news is, I have been hanging out here long enough to know that you are all good people. I started out using Optiboard as a way to keep in touch with my good friend Pete and I have encountered a very warm, welcoming community. I would think you would want visitors to recognize this. Hope I am not speaking out of turn.

Fezz keeps that text on his clipboard every time he logs on to OptiBoard. You can tell he is just itching to paste it onto someone.

    You are partially correct, Sir!

I keep hanging the clipboard on the computer, but the tape doesn't hold!

we need to hide the truth that internet eyeglasses are really a good deal, but we want to keep the public in the dark and keep our jobs and money rolling in. We also have shriveled hearts, according to the last consumer post. Tried looking that one up in "Cardiology Monthly" but could find no reference to a shriveled heart. I did however, find such a reference in "Urology Monthly" which mentioned swimming in very cold water, but it wasn't the heart that got shriveled.

Considering you found it in the "urology monthly" I'm surprised you were expecting a shriveled heart. :p
