    Formula for figuring out Dynamic plud Diopter power??

    Does anyone have the equation for figuring out the dynamic plus power of a lens when you move the vertex distance away from the eye??? Lets say you move +.50 lens out to 93cm or 930mm. What is the perceived visual power in diopters at that distance

    Welcome to Optiboard.

    +.50 / (1 + -.930 x +.50) = +.935

    De = DL / 1 + dDL

    De = new effective power
    DL = orginal lens power
    d = change in vertex distance in meters
