    Edger Parts Needed

I am in search of the water solenoid/electrovalve that controls the water. I have a Kappa edger and can't seem to find the part that connects the water line to the edger. We used to use a recirculating pump but we now are wanting to use direct/fresh water. I know I could probably get the part direct from Gerber Coburn, but don't want to spend the money if I don't have too. Any other sources out there? Thanks.

    Hi Chad,

Here is a link to a good solonoid valve. You will need to buy the power cord seperate and attach it, but its a great deal.

If you use the solenoid valve from Grainger, you will need to purchase two of them, one for the water supply to the wheels and one for the water supply for the back of the sink.

If you have machinery you should have an account at Grainger, Baldor, Newark and the local Radio Shack and industrial supply house. Its amazing what you can get off the shelf locally at a fair wholesale price. Journeyman opticians should be able to troubleshoot and repair most of the equipment in their lab.

Chad should know that supposedly there is a Granger outlet near 45th and I-94 in Fargo (check the phone book). If not there then St Cloud or Minneapolis for sure. Maybe also Grand Forks and/or Bismark. There are other industrial suppliers that would have this like McMaster-Carr, but Grangers catalog is nicer and so are the prices.
