I was out of town for the last two days, and my wife called me tonight and told me I had a sick sense of humor. When I asked her what she was talking about, she told me that when she came home from work today, about 4 acres of our woods was gone!
It seems I had forgotten to tell her that I had hired some guys to expand the amount of pasture we have from 5 acres to around 10.:hammer: (We've got way more trees than pasture, and horses and sheep don't eat trees.) They left about 20 of the largest trees standing, and we now have enough fire wood to last us for the next 4 years.
She thought that I had planned it specifically for earth day. I didn't even know there was still such a thing as earth day until I turned on the TV at the hotel this morning and saw some of the beautiful heads talking about it on the news.:o
There won't be much of an uproar in our neighborhood over it, except maybe to ask if there's any extra firewood left...:bbg:
