I assume the "lights always on" means after dark?

We have an "animated light display" : 2 reindeer who nod their heads, one up & down, one side to side, (one always almost smacking the second in his down swing when the intended victim is swinging away...we get lots of people slowing down in front of the house! I think they have a pool going on when the reindeer will finally get to butt heads!)
We also have one of those spiral trees in multicolor...I stopped my husband from adding a santa and sleigh set, and I live in fear that someone will put them on clearance while he still has some shopping money left!

small lights flashing but also small lights steady. There could have probably been about six more choices but I guess that would have been a ridiculous length of poll!:(

Should be able to choose more than one!

Outside Colorado Blue Spruce-back yard- Big lights....like the kind we had in my younger years.

front of the house-Halogen Flood Lamp on 60" wreath beside the front door- small lights (multi colored) always on-highliteing a holly bush closer to the street.Next year if santa brings a digital camera this xmas I'll send a pic, if Sean tells me how!!:)

I've always liked the small lights flashing. However this year I won't have any lights at all. :( We are right in the middle of moving to Arizona and it's entirely possible that we'll temporarily homeless on Christmas day.

    Smilie xmas lights

I definately prefer the small twinkly xmas lights, but sadly, unless they were surrounded with barbed wire or electric fence, they would go missing overnight!!! Talk about the season of goodwill? I hope santa is watching these thieves :( Is the theft of Fairy lights limited to England? Or is it accepted that, when coming out of the pub its quite normal to see a santa with a flashing reindeer thrown over his shoulder !!!

    Big Smile

    Steve,

If you're traveling to AZ on Xmas day, stop here in Long Beach for Xmas dinner! I'll be serving up prime rib, ham, turkey and a bunch of other goodies!

Oh yeah, as to lights- those icicle things around the roof line on the downstairs only, plus lights going up Acacia tree in front.

Thanks for the offer Larry! I'll actually be traveling on Friday and Saturday and will be in Phoenix for Christmas. With any luck I'll actually get to spend Christmas Eve in our new house. Of course, all we'll have is sleeping bags since the furniture won't arrive until Wednesday.

Did I mention I hate moving!

Flashing lights give me a nervous tick.

I think Steve's Xmas Style Set does the trick for decking the den. Outside small lights always on does the trick. If I had a tree big enough then I would go with the large lights.

I also like the swag lights that are around lately. Icicle lights can be pretty if done right.

For Outside, I was left to cut down large branch from old birch in freezing conditions. Planted it in the ground, spray painted it silver, Placed small lights which stay on, around it. looks lovely.

Inside, Electric candle in each window, Flickering Merry Christmas sign, Large tree with coloured large & small lights which stay on, Small flickering lights.

small tree, large lights coloured, stay on.

No lights stolen, but when Hurling season comes around peoples flags do seem to dissapear.

    Night train,

We're moving to Glendale which is northwest of Phoenix. Unforunately it's about 110 miles from Tucson.

For me it is clear lights and no blinking! I can't stand colored lights or blinking!

I have icicle lights hanging in my apartment window, a grapevine angel on the porch lit with white lights and wreaths on the front and back doors.

Inside my Xmas tree is done in clear lights and many different styles of Santas. I collect one whenever I travel around the country. My most recent acquisition was in Philly. I found a Santa Claus ornament whose body was a lighthouse (I love lighthouses).

    And Harry, a 60" wreath-WOW!

For me it's a combo of clear & colored light's outside on the tree's and bushes that are alway's on. Inside on the tree it's clear light's always on ,with colored light's slowly fading , rotating on & off. Now as far as Harry with his 60" wreath..........that explains why i see a big glow on the horizon when i step out on the back deck.............i thought it was the airport. :)
