    Starting a new position tomorrow.

Hell. I am beginning a new position in an Optometric office. I have worked in retail for two years and am a 2nd year student in Optical Sciences. Really look forward to some conversations as I am trying to update myself on the lenses dispensed at my new place. Can't wait for tomorrow!

    Wish me luck!

    Good Luck!

You're starting out the way I should have...with school AND a job in the field.

Your first word on your first post is a mild profanity.

Seriously, I assume you just meant to say hello, and missed the "O"
Make sure to add the "O" when greeting patients.
Your enthusiasm is going to see you with a long, rewarding career in the ophthalmic field. Best of Luck to you, and hope to see you post again soon.

Good Luck. Your enthusiasm will see you go a long way yet!
It’s so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don’t say it.

    The hello, you say!

A lack of planning on your part DOES NOT constitute an emergency on mine!

Lets just assume MLS 168 actually DOES forget the "O" on his/her new job...
    (clients come into clinic)
"well hell, Mrs smith, how are you?"
"um I'm fine, I guess... My two kids are here for an eye exam, billy and bobby."
Well hell, billy, glad you could make it. Hell bobby, you can go first."
    (phone rings)
"Hell, Dr. Morgans office, can I help you?"

Sorry to pick on you mls...;)

Such greetings are common protocol in Texas. If you don't speak like this, they may think you're a yankee!!
