Lab ? for Digital Processed Progressives

This is a question for you Pech, Luzerne and Digital Eye Lab people (also for Shamir, Ziess or Seiko peeps)... as far as I know these labs are processing most of the new digital processed freeform progressives and have the most experience.

In cases where the lens has BI prism, is it possible to process the lens with negative center thickness? In theory, I could cut into the prism part of the lens to reduce lens thickness if the RX has 2D BI prism and is over
-1.75 sph, and over a 48 eye in size. (there will not be a "hole" because where the sphere ends the prism effectively starts).

Have any of you actually done this with the new digitally processing? or will the software prevent this type of "fudging"? Or will it actually compensate automatically and reduce CT appropriately without intervention?
