Redhot Jumper !! Oi Look here NOW !!

This is a plea to all who do not have a virus checker program on their system or do but never update it....

Please either get one or update it
So far this week Yes since yesterday I have recived over 15 emails with the latest worm attached, and in the last week or so i have lost count of the number.
So PLEASE PLEASE Help others to keep their sanity...:hammer:

Remember it could be your system next...
Just ask Maria she knows all about what they can do to your system......

    John R,
I dont know about your virus scanning program...........but mine was 100% effective. So your request for everyone to either get or update their software is good advice indeed.

I used to have Norton loaded on my laptop, but deleted it on the advice of a Microsoft tech who blamed it for hanging the system when I tried to shut down each night (since turns out it was a MS bug... ).

Anyway, I'll have to reload the program and update it... I just never give much thought to viruses and worms and such because I don't run executable files I receive in emails. I understand that now one doesn't even have to open a file to get a bug, so I'll be more careful. Btw, John, what is your icon? Looks like a scene from A Christmas Carol or something...

    Exclamation "Goner" Virus (Worm)

This one is brand new with a few twists. Not only will it attempt to delete critical hard drive files it also seeks out files that are critical for any security or anti-virus program. It arrives with the subject line of "Hi" and asks the user to check a screen saver program. If you choose to run the screen saver......whamo,your computer is infected. It will then attach to everyone in your address book. Here's another twist, it not only affects MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express.......it can also send itself through the IM program ICQ. Good news though.......so far both Symantec and McAfee have released updates for their software.GO GET IT!
