The new GEICO commercial annoys me!

I watch a lot of tv, and some of the new commercials irritate me. So, I was wondering what commericals you love and hate

I just can't believe that for the Superbowl, they tried to 'off' Jack (of Jack-in-the-Box)

The King in Burger King creeps me out.

I love any commercial with William Shatner. Yay Priceline!

The one that is on right now that I hate is.

There are two brothers starting a brewery. One brother says "you sure can brew it' and the other one says "The question is can you sell it" Then the salesman brother goes out into the real world and makes his first sale. All the while the other one is back in the multi-million dollar brewery that they opened without EVER HAVING SOLD A SINGLE BOTTLE OF BEER!!!! And then the start talking about expanding.

The really sad part is that I can't even tell you what the commercial is for. (I'm sure it's not for beer)

Isn't it obvious??? The commercial is for cell phones. (AT&T)

Sounds like a brewery called Flying Fish out of New Jersey. If I remember correctly, they started by selling brewery t-shirts, hats, openers, etc, without every making a drop of beer!

PS. The Geico commercial is very annoying. Now the Burger King (Prince) commercials are down right creepy! I still have the image of a spoof of those damn commercial burnt in my memory!

I have to agree..the new Geico commercial is annoying...I did like the cavemen, though...I thought they were funny! Yes, Burger King "big head man" very creepy!

Also, there was one ice cream shop commercial with a really scary looking big foot trying to get in and get some ice cream..that one creeped me out, too!

There was a commercial for underwear that had the song "stuck in the middle with you" playing while thong underwear were being pulled along a clothes line...funny stuff!

Another one I like is the Baskin Robbins (maybe DairyQueen?) commercial where the little girl comes in the room crying and her grandpa asks what's wrong and she says that mom told her that if she got an "A" they could go for a "super-duper-ice cream-blendie-whatever"...so grandpa grabs the report card, that shows an "F" and writes in an "A", then jumps up out of the chair and says I'll be in the car! :D (might not be as funny without seeing it, the comedy can get lost in the translation :D)

I like the "GO MEAT" commercials, too! :D

From a marketing perspective, the GEICO commercials are completely effective- after all, everyone on this thread remembers both the spots and what is being advertised...

I absolutely despise all the commercials for the diet food (think Marie Osmond is on the latest). But, I remember them.

I LOVE the Sonic commercials... I think the Tempurpedic commercials are some of the classiest I've seen (from the music to the scenes, etc.).

Also, the Audi commercials that ran during the Olymics (change is good, or something like that) were- even if over-ran- good.

Actually it kind of is. Watch the background in each scene. Something in each scene is staggered the way the bars are on the reception bars for cell phones.

I would like to know how much they have to pay someone to look in the camera with a straight face and say...

"All I can say is- Sham-WOW!"

I'm not sure I'd be physically capable of doing that!

Another commercial that irritates the snot out of me is that stupid "Hughes-Net" internet commercial. (Now, satellite communication is available in your area- without phone lines or...)

The original lady was a red-head who was annoying enough- but now they have this brunette who doesn't even have a sense of timing.

Speaking of a lack of timing, there used to be these DIY commercials with this blonde lady at the Biltmore Estates (think they were for Home Depot)... she was so staged it was painful to watch (Any other tips, Chuck?).

Where do they FIND these people (I know, they hang out at opticals and recruit our patients).
