Blue Jumper I get by with a little help from my friends...

Study partner (or partners) needed! I'm going to take the NCLE Advanced in September and I was wondering if anyone else was planning on taking the exam as well who might like to study with me. I'm going to start studying this month cause I need all time I can get. Also, if any of my kind and wonderful fellow Optiboarders might be able to bestow their contact lens wisdom upon me, it would be greatly appreciated and I will owe you big time!

I might be very interested. I've planned on the NCLE Advanced, but I thought I'd do it after I got the ABOM. If I had a partner though... :)
Can I ask what your current level of experience is with contacts. I have to admit that contacts are my weak point, working in places that my daily exposure is nothing more than glorified order taking. If you're well above me, I don't want to hold you back. But, if you've got quite a bit to learn like me, I'd love a study buddy as well.

I need more alphabet soup behind my name anyway!

Are there specific study materials made for this particular exam?

Sounds like we're on the same level! :D I doubt that you will hold me back. The study guides that were recommended to me are the Contact Lens Manuals Vol I and II. You can get the set from CLSA. PM me and we'll get together!

I have Volume II still, so if anything, I'll pick up a copy of Vol. I. When are the submission deadlines for the NCLE Advanced? Just to check, you're going to go all the way to Ohio to take the exam in Sept.? They are offering the Advanced exam in Macon in Nov. I'll study with you, but probably wait to take the exam in Nov when they offer it in Fort Lauderdale. Here's the link to the Advanced exam dates and locations:

The submission deadlines are 60 days before the test. I'm going to Ohio because I'm taking some prep classes there before the class and also because when you sign up for the prep classes, there are webinars and study groups that become available about 10 weeks before the test. Don't forget the Test Review Manuals also.
