Progressive lenses from overseas

Dear all,

Are there any of you that getting your digital or free form progressive lenses from outside of the country like India, Malysia or China?
If so, what is the turnaround time and the quality of the products?
Any Essilor, Rodenstock, Zeiss or Hoya lenses available through those labs?
Would you have any phone numbers or web site for those labs?

Your help is much appreciated.

Contact a fellow optiboarder, DocInChina. He has a lens company in China that can provide you all of your free-form lenses, progressives, etc.

I am not using the guy's as I am a supplier. But I do know some about them. There are quite a few optical lab poeple that have moved from Europe to the far East and have opened labs there.

As most lenses are made there, there is no problem obtaining anything you get here over there. So they compare to what you get here, just a lot cheaper.

In the far east they have the EMS delivery service just about out of every country which is comparable to Fedex/DHL/UPS but a lot cheaper and nearly as fast, and is delivered by the Canadian or US mail service.
