Hi ROATX USED IT 3 WEEK AGO HAD 25 KIDS 4 REFER ANDTHAT WAS IN CEDAR PARK AND LIBERTY HILLS TX. ON THE 2/7/09 WE WENT TO SAN ANGLO TX HAD 40 KID 16 REFERED TO DOCTORS . IT TAKES 18 PICTURES IN ABOUT 1.7 SECONDS ,PARENTS CAN GET THE PAPER WORK ABOUT THEIR CHILD IN LESS THAN 2MIN. WITH A PASS OR REFER ON THE PAPER.

WE WERE HOPING FOR LESS THAN 10% RATE THIS WEEKEND,BUT HAD A 45%REFER RATE. THE EQUIPMENT COST ABOUT $10,000 AND UP.

JUST NEED A COMPUTER PRINTER AND IT LOOKS LIKE A RADAR GUN TO POINT AT THE KIDS EYES AND ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN A RETANGLE BOX WILL SHOW THE KIDS EYES .

THE AGE OF KIDS WE SCREENED 6MO TO 4YEARS OLD YOU CAN DO UP TO 21 YEARS OLD,BUT TO CATCH EYE PROBLEMS EARLY BEST UNDER 10YEARS OLD. I THINK WE HAVE THE OUT COME ON WWW.ROATX.ORG

OR GO TO ( GO SAN ANGLO)

    Don,

How does this system compare with the older Photoscreener http://www.photoscreener.com?
    1st* HTML5 Tracer Software
    1st Mac Compatible Tracer Software
    1st Linux Compatible Tracer Software

*Dave at OptiVision has a web based tracer integration package that's awesome.

    Hi Harry,

it takes time to put the person name in the computer than it does getting the pass or refer sheet to the patient and the printout is in your hand in less than a minute wear the photoscreener you had to send off and wait a couple weeks to make sure the picture looked good to get and ok on. and the best thing theres no film to buy. all on a computer, printer and a radar gun. it takes 18 pictures in 1.5seconds and you can see the computer screen to know if it is apass or refer to a doctor. so easy we did several 6month old babies we did 40kids started at 10.00am and by 12.30 had 35 screened and we showed it to 2 O.D.to look at plus we had a copule glitches not plugging the wire in the right place . I left to go home in AUSTIN FROM San ANGLO TX 4HOUR DRIVE LEFT AT 3.00 AFTER WE SAW 40 KIDS IT IS WORTH THE MONEY. ASK Sam about it for ROATx put it on his email www.roatx.org.
