I visited some high end optical shops in Dallas recently and noticed more round and P3 shapes. Do you think round shapes are going to make a come back? Are you stocking and or selling more round shapes?

I'm seeing a few more here in the lab, mostly P-3's
Yes...I am seeing more of them...personally, I'm glad...I like to have a little more depth in the frame especially for multifocals. :)

I've also been hit lately with numerous requests for Windsor frames.
These are some common "pseudo" rounds I've run across:
Safilo Elasta Team 3900 (an oldie but still current)
Signature Cutter and Buck Castle Rock
Signature HSM T-128
Marchon Flexon 623
and then there's
Berkshire Chase (literally Harry Potter) and a cool company called
Moscot Eyewear, both of whom have been around the block with round styles.
Lunor also has some beautiful things but they usually are quite smallish.
I'm sure there are others.

I have seen a measurable increase in the requests for round or P3-style frames. I've only carried a few in the last couple of years but I'm gonna have to pick up some more!
Cheers to everyone!
we have autoflex 53,ogi 1019,rem j503, bogner titenflex 730513 c.v. izod 381,smilen john lennons on the board and they sell. more folks looking for that shape.
We had four P3's custom made by Toms' Design in Germany.
They have never really went away and I doubt we will see the resurgence of the 80's but sure I see a bigger market coming. It's already popular on the east and west coast, in Europe and with gay guys.
Wow! All these years I thought we were very backward here, since the Annie Hall look is just now making it to our area. But now we're on the bleeding edge.:D:cheers::cheers:

Look at the Ralph Lauren line and there are tons of round shapes in there. Also I've noticed Brooks brothers also came out with some round shapes in meta and plastic.
WHile I don't think they will be the predominant shape/trend/style I see more options for those pts looking for round frames.
I think it is going to be all about the larger/oversized glasses in the upcoming year, with the rectangle/squared shape being most sought after.
*As a side note, I just had to chuckle about gay guys wearing round frames, as I've seen guys in my neck of the woods shying away/making fun of the round frames, then again, maybe its just me. But you won't find my face in a round frame anytime soon ;-)

Anglo-American Eyewear used to be a pretty good source as well.
We have sold 5 of the Flexon 623 in the last 2 months. Definately seeing some movement with that shape. Funny, just a year ago I was hard pressed to find something for a gentleman who plays Santa. Of course he had to have shiny gold...

The round and P3 shapes have been strong selling shapes here in Portland since last summer and still doing well. Larger eyesizes, retro and vintage inspired are also doing really well in terms of trends we are seeing.
