    Rudolphs Nose

As I was watching the aged classic TV Special last night with the children, I began to wonder something...Was Red REALLY the best color to have to penetrate fog? Would blue have been better?

    Good question. What about yellow?

I would have to say blue. Something on the same idea as they use on the new headlight's for some cars these days.

    But aren't fog lights yellow?

Seems to me that blue would be more apt to scatter through the fog, whereas the longer wavelength of red would penetrate better... Yellow might have been even better for brightness, but somehow I can't imagine the song as Rudolph the yellow nosed reindeer...!
