I SWEAR by all thats holy.......

    Steve,

I SWEAR by all thats holy that I never said a word about the new set to ANYONE!I talked to Jo this AM and she will back me up.I didn't even tell her and she's my pard!

Next to the first Christmas tree I remember seeing as a boy, this comes in second! You have outdone yourself.

Forgive me Maria.......but I like it better than Lilac! There........I've said it!......now the anxious hours until her reply......she'll probably disenfranchise my British Gentleman Apprenticeship for this.....but so be it.The new set is
    WONDERFULL!!!!!

    Observing the Christmas Styleset Safely

Permanent eye damage can result from looking at the Christmas Styleset directly.

Here are some basic ways to observe it if you choose to use it:

    The Pinhole Projection Method
    Solar Filters
    Welders' Goggles
with a rating of 14 or higher.

Fully Exposed and Developed Black-and-White Film
You can make your own filter out of black-and-white film, but only true black-and-white film (such as Kodak Tri-X or Pan-X). Such films have a layer of silver within them after they are developed. It is this layer of silver that protects your eyes.

To make your own solar filter, proceed as follows. Open up a roll of black-and-white film and expose it to the Sun for a minute. Have it developed to provide you with negatives. Use the negatives for your filter. It is best to use two layers.

Remember, however, that if you are planning to use black-and-white film as a filter, you need to prepare it at least several days in advance.

Caution: Do not use color film or chromogenic black-and-white film (which is actually a color film). Developed color film, no matter how dark, contains only colored dyes, which do not protect your vision. It is the metallic silver that remains in black-and-white film after development that makes it a safe filter.

    Eye Suicide
Standard or polaroid sunglasses are not good filters. They may afford some eye relief if you are outside on a bright day, but you should never think of using them to stare at your computer screen while using the Christmas Styleset.

Was I not meant to know about this?

Was I not meant to know about this? I clicked on the style sets under Steve's post's and somehow It stayed on Low Vision, amazed by its Bland appearance I went into my Vb options and clicked on Style set to change back to my origional cool blue, However at the top of the list was Christmas so I clicked on it and up it came.

I was working on the Christmas Style set and was going to keep it a surprise for a little while longer. However once the 'Grinch got out of the bag' there was no point in that any longer! :D

Night Train, good advice! The last thing we need to do is create more eye patients! ;)

And the Online/Offline thing was something I added last night.
